    A dumbwaiter is a small freight elevator for transporting objects and cargo only. It can handle loads from 50-300kg. For instance, it is used in food and beverage businesses to transport cooked food / dishes from one level to another level – the kitchen to the dining room. Commonly used in hospitals, libraries, school and even big homes.

    Starting from a min. 50kg load, a bigger dumbwaiter of 1.2×1.2m can take up to 300kg load.

    Dumbwaiters uses Traction lift system where there is a pulley and counter weight to move the cabin car.

    A dumbwaiter is useful when you have to transport goods frequently between levels. It helps to reduce job-related injuries from heavy loads and cut-down on production times. Other than table loading dumbwaiters, there is also the option of floor loading dumbwaiters where you can roll a trolley into the dumbwaiter cabin to be transported with ease to another level.     Yes, a dumbwaiter will also require a drawing from a structural engineer or architect for submission to Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for approval. Your lift specialist can facilitate the approval process for your home lift / dumbwaiter installation.

    Upon confirmation, fabrication and shipment can take 1-2 months, Installation takes 3 weeks.
